- The Shinbokukai was as always a very educational experience - both in terms of being able to speak Japanese which I don't have many opportunities to do at the moment, and in terms of being able to meet a variety of interesting people. The atmosphere is helped by the fact that it was an authentic Japanese restaurant with great food. I look forward heartily to the next one in December and would recommend all students who want to make progress to attend. The paper tablecloth was covered in kanji being taught to each other by the end of the evening.
